Represented client architect in Greenwich Connecticut, American Arbitration Association Arbitration in claim for non-payment for architectural services following construction of $10 million dollar Greenwich, Connecticut home. Result: $100,000.00 judgement awarded in favor of architect and cross-claim by homeowner dismissed following the arbitration.

Represented Westchester County Car Wash in pre arbitration construction mediation to settle action brought by former general contractor alleging $400,000 owed for non payment of demolition and construction services and cross claim for overpayment and fraud. Represented Putnam County homeowners at American Arbitration Association in pre arbitration construction mediation alleging $800,000 owed by former architect for negligent design and construction supervision of large residential home which had to be rebuilt from scratch.

Represented Larchmont, Connecticut couple in Westchester County Supreme Court Lawsuit versus former contractor who walked off project in the middle of a large home construction and discontinued all work. Result: $118,000 verdict awarded to clients following Supreme Court Trial.

Multimillion Dollar Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit brought against client, Manhattan Restaurant Owner, and numerous other parties, based upon alleged non-payment of construction fees for construction of large downtown Manhattan Steakhouse. Result: $875,000 lawsuit which was brought against client dismissed prior to trial.

Defended large New York City Irish pub versus multimillion dollar lawsuit brought by customer who sustained serious personal injury after falling down flight of stairs. Lawsuit alleged negligent construction and design of stairs, as well as supervision by owners. Result: case settled before trial for minimal $10,000 payment by Client. Represented large Port Chester Commercial Building and Historical Landmark Site in $500,000 lawsuit alleging negligent design and construction of building and parking structure by former contractor, engineer and architect and cross claim for non-payment. Result: case settled prior to trial.

Defended Manhattan Meat Packing District Nightclub Owner in 1 million dollar suit brought by former general contractor for non-payment. Result: case settled during trial.

Defended large Manhattan Condominium Owner’s Association in multimillion dollar suit alleging serious injuries by a subcontractor who was injured while working to renovate the common areas of the buildings complex. Result: case against Client dismissed prior to trial in Manhattan County Supreme Court.

Represented Bronxville husband and wife in lawsuit versus former contractor for negligent acts and/or omissions and fraud related to the construction he performed in building their multi million dollar Bronxville home. Result: case settled prior to trial based upon payment to Clients of amount owed by negligent contractor.

Represented New Rochelle contractor at Westchester County Department of Consumer Protection on charges that he failed to maintain a Westchester County Home Improvement License. Result: Charges reduced to a violation. License maintained. Minimal fine paid.

Represented Rockland County General Contractor in criminal appeal (following criminal conviction with other attorney) in Rockland County Supreme Court case based on alleged theft of money provided to him by homeowners for large home construction project. Result: case dismissed on appeal, four year jail sentence vacated upon dismissal.

Represented Greenwich, Connecticut general contractor at Westchester County Department of Consumer Protection on charges that he failed to maintain a Westchester County Home Improvement License. Result: charges reduced to violation. License maintained, minimal fine paid.

Represented Pelham engineering firm based upon non-payment (by large condominium owner’s association) for his engineering services. Result: filed mechanic’s lien and later Westchester Supreme Court lawsuit. Case settled prior to trial based upon condominium owner’s association payment to engineer of amount in controversy.

Represented Larchmont General Contractor based upon non-payment by former client in Harrison New York for large residential home construction. Result: filed mechanic’s lien and subsequently Westchester Supreme Court Lawsuit. Case settled prior to trial based upon Owner’s payment to Client of amount in controversy.
